Bush the Obstructionist

Why did people vote for President Bush? Well, (all jokes aside) there were many different reasons, not everyone held those same reasons in mind when casting their ballots but there seemed to be one major one that everyone agreed on, one reason that everyone who voted for him had in common. That is that President Bush is consistent. That is to say not a flip flopper, he sticks to his guns, he holds true to his convictions (with courage).

And what was the conclusion drawn by President Bush when Saddam Hussein would not allow UN weapons inspectors to inspect? He must, must have something to hide. If not, why would he obstruct or delay any inquiry? Of course you or I may say that it wasn’t necessarily the UN finding out that he did have WMDs; but show his immediate enemies, such as Iran who does now and probably did have nuclear aspirations they are and were pursuing, that he did not.

You or I may have said that but President Bush did not. That is his thinking, that is what he believes to be true. So there is no confusion, I’ll throw the bulk in the pot and boil it down again. The bulk; Bush maintained that stalling and denying access and thus denying openness Saddam Hussein was guilty of what he was accused of thus it was imperative to go against the authority that had set up the rules that we the US had charged him with breaking. And now we boil; President Bush believes that when some stalls and obstructs they must be guilty of what they are accused of.

Bush is stalling and obstructing. He must be guilty. And supporters of his would surely hope that he is because if not, you did not vote for the man you thought you did.

But seriously, President Bush made a valid point recently. No really, he is saying that if a part of the government is given the ability to invade privacy it may be used as a political tool and although there may or may not be an immediate benefit, even if there is it may set a dangerous precedent. Good point (illegal wiretaps illegal wiretaps illegal wiretaps).
